A stock screener answers "which names match these rules?" instead of checking tickers one by one. Vantafin's screener at /app/screener covers 12,000+ US - listed stocks and ETFs across 80+ metrics: price, valuation, growth, margins, dividends, and technicals. Sector and geography controls sit on the same page.
The full screener is Pro and Ultimate. Saved screens reopen at /app/screener/{id}. This is implementation - stage content: how to run it, not a magic formula.
What is the Vantafin stock screener?
The Vantafin stock screener is a filter table over the same fundamental and price dataset you see on company profiles. Each extra filter is AND logic: a row must match every rule. Results update as you tighten. Click a row to open the profile.
It is not a replacement for a 10-K. It is the funnel.
How to build your first screen
- Open the Screener.
- Add a size filter (for example market cap above a floor).
- Add a quality filter (positive net income, or a margin floor).
- Add a valuation or growth rule (P/E cap, or revenue growth floor).
- Review the table. Customize columns so the metrics you care about read left to right.
- Click a name such as AAAPL to verify the numbers on Financials and filings.
- Save the screen with a boring, reusable name ("Quality growth").
Starter templates
| Goal | Example filters | | - - - | - - - | | Quality growth | Revenue growth > 15%, gross margin > 40%, net income positive | | Value | P/E < 15, price - to - sales < 3, market cap > $2B | | Income | Dividend yield > 3%, net income positive |
Valuation multiples belong on operating companies. For ETFs, prefer size, liquidity, and fund - appropriate fields, then read holdings on the fund profile.
From results to a workflow
Too many filters yield zero rows. Loosen one rule at a time. Never treat the table as a buy list.
Park keepers on a watchlist. Attach that list in AI Chat. Confirm the story on financials and the latest 10-Q.
The same universe is queryable on Pro via REST and the screen_stocks MCP tool if you outgrow clicking.
