Financial statements are the three standard reports of a public company: income statement (profit), balance sheet (what it owns and owes), and cash flow statement (cash in and out). On Vantafin they live at /app/{TICKER}/financials, for example /app/AAPL/financials. History is available while browsing. Excel export is a paid feature.
Profile Charting at /app/{TICKER}/charting plots those metrics (and peers) as lines. Anonymous and Free users get 5 metrics and 3 companies. Pro and Ultimate are unlimited. That tool is not the price chart.
How to read the three statements quickly
- Open Financials on the profile.
- Switch income / balance / cash flow and the period toggle (quarter vs year).
- Read income top to bottom: revenue, gross margin, operating income, net income.
- On the balance sheet, compare cash and equivalents to total debt, and current assets to current liabilities.
- On cash flow, start with operating cash flow, then capex. Free cash flow is operating cash flow minus capex.
- If revenue is up and net income is down, open the latest 10-Q before you invent a story.
Income vs cash
Net income is an accounting result. Operating cash flow is cash from the business. If they diverge for long, read the footnotes. Chat can compare two tickers if you attach both, but you should still open MSFT financials yourself.
Custom financial charting
Use Charting when you want revenue vs margin, or AAAPL vs AAMD on the same axes. Stay inside the Free cap (5 metrics, 3 companies) or upgrade. Export the statement table to Excel on Pro when the model lives in a spreadsheet.
REST fundamentals endpoints return the same series for models and bots.
