Vantafin AI Chat is a research assistant grounded in Vantafin data: SEC filings, financials, quotes, earnings transcripts, news, and optional uploaded files. It is not a generic chatbot reciting training memory as if it were last quarter's 10-Q.
Open it at /app/chat. Pro includes 200 questions per billing period. Ultimate includes 500. Free and signed - out users hit a gate. Treat every answer as a first pass. Click citations. Open the filing.
How to ask a question that retrieves data
| Weaker | Stronger | | - - - | - - - | | How is Apple doing? | Summarize AAAPL latest 10-Q revenue and margin trend with citations. | | Is NVDA cheap? | Compare NNVDA and AAMD on revenue growth and gross margin as a table. | | What happened? | What did management say about guidance on the latest earnings call? |
Name the ticker. Name the document or metric. Ask for a table or bullets when you will paste the result.
How to attach sources
- Open AI Chat.
- In the composer, attach a ticker, watchlist, filing, transcript, or file.
- Ask the question.
- Follow up in the same thread so context stays put.
- Use projects to group threads and saved prompts at /app/chat/prompts for repeats.
If you connected a brokerage and left AI access on, you can ask about your holdings. If the toggle is off, Chat will say so.
How to trust an answer
- Prefer answers with sentence - level citations.
- Open the 10-Q span before you put the number in a memo. - Ask "Where in the 10-K does it say that?" - Thumbs up/down exist; they do not replace your reading.
