An SEC filing is the company's official disclosure to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission. The three you will open constantly are the 10-K (annual), 10-Q (quarterly), and 8-K (current report for material events). Vantafin hosts filing history since 1994 on the profile tab /app/{TICKER}/sec - filings.

Anonymous users can browse filings. Live filing access is on Free as well as paid. Pair the viewer with AI Chat when you want a first pass, then read the passage Chat cited.

How to find a filing

  1. Open a profile, for example AAPL SEC filings.
  2. Use categorized view to jump to the latest 10-K, or chronological to see everything recent (including 8 - Ks).
  3. Filter by form type when the list is long.
  4. Open the filing. The viewer supports HTML - style reading, highlight, and jump - to.
  5. Use "ask chat about this filing" when you want a grounded summary, then click the citation.

Alternate URLs exist as /app/{TICKER}/{filingId} for deep links.

Which form to open

| Form | What it is | Open it for | | - - - | - - - | - - - | | 10-K | Annual report | Risk factors, business, full - year results | | 10-Q | Quarterly report | Interim results between 10 - Ks | | 8-K | Current report | M&A, leadership, other material events | | DEF 14A | Proxy | Pay, board, governance | | Form 4 | Insider trade | Buy/sell by officers and directors |

Form 4s also aggregate on the Insider Transactions tab.

A filing workflow that does not skip the source

  1. Skim the 8-K if something just hit the tape.
  2. Read MD&A and risk factors in the 10-Q/10-K, not only the earnings release.
  3. Attach the filing in Chat: "List margin comments with citations."
  4. Open the cited span in the viewer before you reuse the number.

REST and MCP expose the same corpus (GET /filings/{ticker}, search_filings, read_filing) on Pro. The web viewer is the human path.
