An earnings call transcript is the text of management's prepared remarks plus the analyst Q&A. Investor materials are the decks and press packages that travel with the print. On Vantafin, transcripts live under Events (/app/{TICKER}/events) and Transcripts (/app/{TICKER}/transcripts). Example: AAPL transcripts.
Transcripts are a Pro feature. ETFs do not have earnings calls; those profiles skip this tab.
Read remarks for guidance. Read Q&A for the fight. Then check the numbers on Financials.
How to open and search a transcript
- From the profile, open Events or Transcripts.
- Pick a call. The viewer shows speaker turns.
- Search the transcript; excerpt locate jumps you to the hit.
- Open materials from the drawer when a deck or release is attached.
- Attach the transcript in AI Chat: "What changed in guidance vs last quarter? Cite turns."
Prep before the next print
- Filter the calendar to earnings and your watchlist.
- Read last quarter's transcript so you know the old guide.
- Skim the income statement trend.
- After the call, read the new transcript and the 8-K/10-Q, not only the press release.
REST and MCP expose transcripts for builders (list_transcripts, read_transcript, search_transcripts).
