Vantafin features cover company research, charts, a stock screener, watchlists, a market calendar, brokerage portfolio sync, alerts, cited AI chat, a file vault, plus MCP, REST, and WebSocket access to the same dataset. The web app is the main door for beginners and everyday investors. Builders use the same data in Claude, Cursor, or their own code.
This page is the catalog of what ships today. Plan prices and the full Free / Pro / Ultimate matrix live on Pricing. How-tos live in the Help Center.
Vantafin is an all-in-one investing and research app: one dataset for company profiles, live or delayed quotes, SEC filings since 1994, a 12,000+ name screener, cited AI chat, and developer access. Free covers browsing. Pro is $20/month billed annually ($25 monthly). Ultimate is $40/month billed annually ($50 monthly) and adds WebSocket streaming plus higher limits.
Coverage facts we publish today: 20,000+ stocks, ETFs, and funds; 9,000+ live quoted tickers on Pro; 80+ screener metrics; 23 typed MCP tools. Those numbers match Pricing and Docs. For the dataset catalog, history, identifiers, and gaps, see Coverage. If a row conflicts, trust the live pricing page.
The Vantafin web app is the product most people use first. You can open markets, a company, a chart, a screen, or chat without installing anything. Paid plans unlock live quotes, higher AI limits, brokerage sync, files, and APIs. You can browse much of the app without an account.
The markets hub is the signed-in home for indices, watchlists, and a market overview. Open it at /app/home when you want one place to see what moved, then jump into a ticker, the calendar, or chat.
A Vantafin company profile is the research page for a ticker: overview, quote, financials, SEC filings, news, insider transactions, institutional ownership, events, and transcripts. Profiles live at /app/{ticker}, for example AAPL. Free includes delayed quotes, filings since 1994, news, and statements. Pro adds live quotes on 9,000+ names plus deeper paid datasets called out on Pricing.
Vantafin charts show candlesticks, indicators, drawings, and years of price history on 12,000+ tickers. Free is a 15-minute delay and custom charting limited to 5 metrics and 3 companies. Pro unlocks live data and unlimited custom charting. Open the workspace at /app/charts or from any profile.
The Vantafin screener filters 12,000+ US equities and ETFs across 80+ valuation, growth, margin, and technical metrics. Run a screen in the app or through the REST API and MCP. Free includes 1 custom screener. Pro and Ultimate include unlimited screeners. Start at /app/screener.
Watchlists keep a named set of tickers in one list so you can scan quotes, jump to profiles, and attach alerts. Free includes 1 custom watchlist. Pro and Ultimate include unlimited watchlists. Manage them at /app/watchlists.
The market calendar lists earnings, dividends, splits, IPOs, and economic events you can filter by day or week. Use it to plan the week, then open the company profile or transcript when the event hits. Open /app/calendar.
Portfolio connects a brokerage through SnapTrade so you can see live holdings, cost basis, and daily P/L in Vantafin. AI Chat can answer questions against those positions. Brokerage connection is a Pro and Ultimate feature. Open /app/portfolio. This is research and tracking, not a broker and not investment advice.
Alerts notify you on price moves, new filings, and breaking news by email or Telegram. Free includes 1 custom alert and 10 daily notifications on delayed prices. Pro includes 10 alerts and 500 daily notifications. Ultimate raises that to 1,500 daily notifications. Set them at /app/alerts.
Vantafin AI Chat answers company questions using Vantafin data and cites filings, transcripts, financials, and ownership records. It is not a general web chatbot. Free includes 5 questions per month. Pro includes 200. Ultimate includes 500. Open /app/chat. Answers can be wrong; read the AI Policy.
The file vault is a personal research drive for uploads you can keep next to chat. Pro includes 500 MB. Ultimate includes 1.5 GB. Free does not include the drive. Open /app/files.
Vantafin embeds let you drop an interactive chart, screener, calendar, or chat into another page. The homepage “See it in action” section uses the same embeds. They are a way to show the product, not a separate dataset.
The same dataset, reachable from six different doors - pick whichever fits your workflow.
Vantafin has four doors into one product. Use the web app if you want to click. Use MCP if your assistant should pull quotes and filings. Use REST if you are building a dashboard or bot. Use WebSocket if you need a live stream. You are not buying four products.
| Door | Best for | Where to start | Plan |
|---|---|---|---|

Vantafin sits between a research terminal, a market-data API, and a charting app. It is not a Bloomberg replacement for a trading desk, and it is not only a quote API. Honest vs pages, with vendor prices you should re-check, live under /compare.
| If you need | Vantafin | Typical alternative |
|---|---|---|
| One cheap app for research, charts, alerts, and AI | Web app plus the same data on MCP/REST | A stack of charting, filings, and newsletter tools |
| Institutional terminal, chat, and multi-asset desk tools | Not the job. US research and data at a retail price | Bloomberg (~$2,000/month class) |
| Community charting and custom indicators | Supercharts for research, not a social chart network | TradingView |
| Raw multi-asset market-data pipes | US equities/ETFs over REST, MCP, and Ultimate sockets | Polygon / Massive or similar data APIs |
| Fundamental research workspace | Profiles, filings, screener, calendar, AI chat | Koyfin or Seeking Alpha |
