The Vantafin app is organized around a left sidebar for tools and a global search box for jumping to any company. Once you know those two things, everything else is a click away. This guide gives you a map of the interface so you can move quickly.
The sidebar: your main navigation
The sidebar is the fastest way to reach each tool:
- Markets Hub - indices, most-active stocks, gainers and losers, and market news.
- AI Chat - ask questions grounded in Vantafin data.
- Screener - filter stocks and ETFs by dozens of metrics.
- Calendar - earnings, dividends, splits, and IPOs.
- Watchlists - track your tickers with live quotes.
- Alerts - price, filing, and news notifications.
- Files - your private research drive.
- Docs - developer API reference.
- Settings - account, billing, and API keys.
Global search: jump to any company
Use the search box to jump straight to a company profile. You can search by:
- Ticker (for example,
AAPL) - Company name (for example,
Apple) - Identifiers like CIK, ISIN, or CUSIP
Selecting a result opens that company's profile at /app/{TICKER}, such as /app/MSFT.
The Markets Hub
The Markets Hub is your default landing page. It surfaces:
- Major index levels and daily moves
- Most-active tickers and the day's top gainers and losers
- A stream of market news
Click any ticker to open its profile, or any headline to read the story.
How the tools connect
Vantafin is designed so research flows between tools without dead ends. A few examples:
- From a company profile, add the ticker to a watchlist or set an alert.
- From the screener, open any result's profile in one click.
- In AI Chat, attach a ticker, watchlist, SEC filing, or your own uploaded file as context.
Keyboard and quality-of-life tips
- Start typing anywhere on the Chat page to focus the composer and begin a message.
- Use breadcrumbs at the top of profile and help pages to move back up a level.
- Switch between light and dark themes in Settings.
