A company profile is the single page where you research one stock or ETF. It lives at /app/{TICKER}, for example /app/AAPL, and gathers the price chart, quote, key metrics, financial statements, SEC filings, earnings, news, and ownership into tabs so you never have to leave the page. This guide gives you a tour and shows how to research a company efficiently.
How to open a company profile
There are three quick ways to reach a profile:
- Type a ticker or company name into the global search box and select the result.
- Click any ticker from the Markets Hub, a watchlist, or a screener result.
- Go directly to the URL
/app/{TICKER}(for example, /app/NVDA).
What is on the Overview tab
The Overview tab is the profile home. It shows:
- The company header: current quote, daily change, sector, and a short business description.
- An interactive price chart built from minute-level aggregates.
- Collapsible panels for key metrics, dividends, earnings, splits, and, for ETFs, memberships and holdings.
Tip: use the Overview as your jumping-off point, then dive into a specific tab when you need detail.
The profile tabs
Depending on the security type, a profile includes these tabs:
| Tab | What you will find | Guide |
|---|---|---|
| Overview | Quote, chart, key panels | This article |
| Financials | Income statement, balance sheet, cash flow | Read financial statements |
| SEC Filings | 10-K, 10-Q, 8-K and more | Read SEC filings |
| Events / Transcripts | Earnings dates and call transcripts | Earnings transcripts |
| News | Ticker-specific headlines | This article |
| Insider Transactions | Form 3/4/5 insider trades | Ownership & insiders |
ETF and fund profiles replace company-specific tabs (like transcripts and insider transactions) with holdings and membership data.
Reading the price chart
The Overview chart plots intraday and historical prices. Use it to:
- Gauge the current trend and recent volatility at a glance.
- Hover to read the price at a point in time.
- Compare the day's move against the previous close shown in the header.
For multi-metric, deeper charting, open the Charting tool from the profile.
A simple research workflow
Here is an efficient way to size up a company using the profile:
- Overview - read the description, sector, and current quote.
- Financials - check revenue and earnings trend and the balance sheet. See Read financial statements.
- SEC Filings - open the latest 10-K or 10-Q for risk factors and management discussion. See Read SEC filings.
- Events - read the most recent earnings transcript.
- News - scan recent headlines for catalysts.
To go faster, ask AI Chat to summarize any of these and attach the ticker as context.
Save it for later
From a profile you can:
- Add the ticker to a watchlist.
- Set a price, filing, or news alert.
