The research drive is your private storage inside Vantafin for your own documents - PDFs, Office files, images, and more. Uploading your material here lets you keep it next to Vantafin's data and, importantly, bring it into AI Chat for grounded answers. You open it from the sidebar at /app/files. Files are a Pro feature.
Upload a document (for example, a research PDF or a spreadsheet).
The file appears in your drive, ready to organize or attach in chat.

Keep your drive tidy with a folder structure that matches how you work:

Navigate folders in the tree and move files between them at /app/files/{folderId}.
Supported files
The drive accepts common document types including PDFs, Office documents, and images. Text-based documents like PDFs work best for AI Chat because the assistant can read their contents.
Storage limits
Your drive has a storage limit that depends on your plan, with Ultimate offering the most space. Check current limits on the pricing page and monitor usage in Settings.
Privacy
Your uploaded files are private to your account. Keep sensitive material organized and remove documents you no longer need.
