## What it covers

One dataset, four doors: web app, MCP server (23 typed tools), REST API (`https://api.vantafin.com/v1`), and WebSocket streams (Ultimate). Free covers browsing. Pro is $20/month billed annually ($25 monthly). Ultimate is $40/month billed annually ($50 monthly).

The public REST/MCP docs describe a hosted platform for US-listed stocks, ETFs, and funds. Pricing also states 20K+ US and foreign entities. Do not collapse those two sentences into a larger claim.

## Dataset access by door

Use Yes only where Pricing or Docs list the dataset. WebSocket streams quotes, news, filings, and NASDAQ halts on Ultimate.

- Not a private-company database (PitchBook-class). Homepage slider copy says “public & private entities”; published counts are stocks, ETFs, and funds
- Live quotes are 9,000+ names on Pro, not the full 20,000+ universe
- The screener is 12,000+ US equities and ETFs, not the full 20,000+ universe
- WebSocket is Ultimate only
- Data can be delayed, incomplete, or incorrect
